“Forensics is back! Every year middle schools across Henrico County send students to compete in a competitive speech competition. Some students read published poetry or short stories. Others create their own original themed essay. We will have a Forensics’ Informational meeting Monday, Sept. 26th in the library from 3:30 to 4:00. In addition to the Forensics’ competition, Byrd sends one boy and one girl from the school to compete in the Optimist Oratorical Contest. We will discuss this competition as well. Email (email@example.com) or see Mrs. Burton in A12 for more information.”
Quioccasin Christian Fellowship…in the school for Good! Our first meeting is Friday, Sept. 23rd.
QCF-“Quioccasin Christian Fellowship” (formerly known as FCA) will for breakfast and fellowship the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month. Everyone is welcome to attend! QCF student leaders engage fellow students in devotionals, fun activities, and coordinate guest speakers such as local pastors to speak at QCF fellowship breakfasts. In addition, QCF club student leaders facilitate our meetings during the school club times once a month. Seventh and Eighth grade students have the option of joining the QCF Club at the beginning of the school year. Our mission is to grow in our faith in Jesus Christ and to reach out to the body of Quioccasin Middle School to encourage and support all of our fellow students in addition to care for the needs of our school and surrounding community.
