QMS Destination Imagination Team

pictureThe Destination Imagination team, “Clueless,” consisted of five 6th grade girls representing QMS at the regional DI competition this past Saturday. The team came in 2nd place in the Fine Arts challenge and will be competing at States on April 6th.

The team members are:

Daphne, Olivia, Molly, Jaden, and Ellie

The team also received special recognition for the highest points earned in the Instant Challenge portion of the competition for Fine Arts at the middle school level!  We are so proud of our girls and how they represented QMS at the regional tournament!

Also, Meghan Ferguson, an 8th grader at QMS, participated in a multi-school group representing several HCPS schools, in the Scientific challenge group. Her team, “A Hint of Lime,” came in first place and will also be competing at the state competition!

The girls were thrilled to see four QMS teachers there as volunteers that day: Ms. Buckler, Ms. Brucker, Ms. Shimko, and Mr. Hall. They would like to especially thank Ms. Brucker who happily volunteered to be our team’s Appraiser volunteer. The team would’ve had to pay a $200 fee if we didn’t have an Appraiser. We thank them for their time and support of the DI program.

Good luck at States.
