|In order to support the Richmond Ronald McDonald House, Quioccasin will be collecting aluminum soda pop tabs, one of the Seven Most Important Things. Starting Monday, March 12th, please bring in soda pop tabs to your 5th Block teacher. The class with the most pop tabs will win a dessert party.|
|The safety team would like to invite parents to come join us for our monthly safety team meeting on April 12, 2018 at 3:40pm. During our April meeting we will discuss concerns that parents have and let you know what measures we have in place to keep students and staff safe while at Quioccasin. Please complete this Google form prior to the meeting to let us know of any safety concerns that you have.|
The Douglas Freeman Athletic Booster Club invites our neighbors at Quioccasin Middle School to join us on Saturday, March 24th at 9 am for the 8th Annual Rebel Run 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run! Proceeds benefit the Athletic Booster Club which supports all of our student-athletes. Freeman families, past, present, and future, community members and friends are invited and encouraged to participate. Participants will receive a race packet which includes a limited-edition race t-shirt and vendor coupons.
Awards will be given to top finishers in each age group, but this race is walker and stroller-friendly too! The Rebel Run will begin and end at DSF with the course traversing the surrounding neighborhood. The one mile Fun Run is open to children ages 11 and under. Food, drinks and freebies included!

Did you know today, February 19th is the first day of National Entrepreneurship Week? An entrepreneur is a person who operates their own business. QMS offers a 7th grade course titled “Make It Your Business”. The FBLA club also runs an Italian icy cart during Spring sports games. Remember, it’s never too early to start your own business.
On Monday, March 12th at 7:00-8:00 p.m., the Godwin PTSO will host “Getting to Know Godwin” for our rising 9th graders. The purpose of this event is for rising freshmen students to hear from current students about ways that they can become involved at Godwin, take a tour of the building, and ask questions that they may have of the current students about the high school experience. At the same time, they will talk with the parents and answer any questions that they may have. And, our PTSO Cave will be open with Godwin spirit wear on sale.
